São José dos Campos, May 12, 2025
RADAZ, a Brazilian company specialized in radar-based remote sensing, announces the inauguration of its new facilities at the technology hub of São José dos Campos (SP). The new infrastructure marks a significant milestone in the company’s expansion process. In 2024, RADAZ reached revenues of R$ 17 million and projects more than doubling that amount in 2025. Equipped with an advanced laboratory, a showroom for technological demonstrations, and a dedicated test field for production flights, the new center strengthens the company’s research, development, and production capabilities.
RADAZ’s growth has been driven by the success of its flagship product: the RD350, an ultra-compact synthetic aperture radar (SAR) weighing only 5 kg, designed to be mounted on small drones. The only radar in the world operating simultaneously in three bands (C, L, and P), the RD350 performs surface monitoring and tomographic subsurface diagnostics, even in remote areas, dense vegetation, or in the absence of light.
“The radar’s miniaturization and the combination of three frequency bands allow for precise, decimeter-scale readings, providing critical data for monitoring pipelines, dams, agricultural fields, and other applications,” says Laila Moreira, Technical Director and Co-founder of RADAZ, whose doctoral research at Unicamp led to the development of the technology.
The Brazilian radar is already in use by institutions and governments in countries such as Germany, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and Sweden, for monitoring volcanoes, pipeline networks, forests, dams, and urban infrastructure. This year, RADAZ secured two new contracts, with Italy and Finland, further consolidating its international presence and expansion.
With six patent applications – one of which has already been granted in the United States – and increasing participation in international trade shows, such as the recent PIERS 2025 held in early May in the UAE, RADAZ is presenting to the global market a cutting-edge, accessible, and portable Brazilian technology with high social and environmental impact.
“RADAZ was founded with the purpose of democratizing access to remote sensing technologies. Today, beyond delivering science-based innovation, we bring security, sustainability, and efficiency to a wide range of sectors,” emphasizes Norivaldo Corrêa, the company’s CEO.
